To the loved one who faithfully checks my blog each day, this is for you.
Watching you suffer the emotional and physical pain of a miscarriage this week has left me heartbroken right along with you. We’ve prayed for this baby to join your family for so long. Knowing how deeply wanted he was leaves me aching to know how deeply missed he is. I’m so so sorry. While there are no words I can say to take away your pain, I can offer you this.
Your littlest one was created by God and for his glory. He delights in his life and chose to create him and give him to you. I’m sorry it wasn’t long enough.
The bible tells us the Lord is involved in the gift of children. Genesis 30:22 is the account of Joseph’s conception and evidence of God as creator of life.
“Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive.”
And furthermore in Ruth 4:13;
“So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. And he went in to her, and the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son.”
He gave her conception.
Life is a gift and your little one… he was a precious gift too.
I tell you this because I want you to know he has value and is valued. Maybe not by the world or that nurse you spoke with in the office but to God, to me; he has value. I miss him with you.

Its that time of year when the news highlights and reflects on news stories of the past year. As I was watching celebrity deaths and election results flash on the screen, an article I read earlier in the year came to mind as most memorable to me.
Scientists discovered a flash of light at the moment of conception.
Watch a video here: Light at Conception
Pretty remarkable isn’t it? That the moment you, I, your baby was concieved, an explosion of light burst forth.
Wow.
When God grants us the privilege of these discoveries, we should treat them with the awe and reverence they deserve. What a holy moment.
Be encouraged and remember;
life may have only danced in your womb for a short time, but oh what a gift it was!
